My first tutorial! A DIY Sports Bra!

So this is my first attempt at a tutorial, so bear with me if there are too many pictures and terrible wording! All you are going to need for this project is an old "wife beater" tank top, some swimsuit padding (the inserts), and some elasitc! Along with your normal sewing items (sewing machine, thread, pins, scissors, and seam ripper).
First thing you will do is put a mark at how long you want your bra to be. Then cut about an inch and a half below there all the way across. I didn't have any swimsuits with the inserts so I took an old top and cut out the padding from there.
Then I took the lower half and flipped it up onto the upper portion. This is what you will cut your lining out of.
Then you cut your angles of the neck and arm areas.
I then took my padding from the swimsuit and one piece of the lining.
Then pin the padding into place. Make sure not to stretch the fabric when pinning. Then sew in place with a zigzag stitch.
Now you have your 2 lining pieces and your actual bra part.
Turn your main bra piece inside out.
 Next your padding piece.
 Then your last lining piece.
Pin all pieces together across the top and the sides. I don't pin the bottom because that will be sewn when making your casing.
Sew it all with a zigzag stitch.
How it looks right side out.
Next flip your bottom edge up and pin. Make sure you have enough room for the width of your elastic. Pin in place.

I used 2 pins to mark where the opening will be for the elastic. Make sure not to sew it all the way closed. I left about an inch and a half opening.
How it will look with the opening.
Next is threading the elastic thru. I pin the end of the elastic to the hem so that it doesn't get pulled thru.
After you finish threading it through you will have to sew your ends together.
Then finish your opening. Make sure not to sew thru your elastic!
And you are done! A perfect exercise bra made from stuff you already had!

And the back! Make sure you leave me a photo if you make one so I can see how you did! And let me know if you figure out an easier way! Although this was pretty simple!

It's been forever!

So it has been forever since I posted anything but I have been a busy beaver! lol From hand sanitizer holders, to diapers and dresses, I've kept busy!
